QA Tester

Job Description

• Gathering and analyzing requirements from business users
• Coordinating with development team to ensure implementation of requirements defined
• Manage multiple requirements in parallel, and provides clear communication to management on prioritization,
• Under the Test Driven Development model, responsible to work with Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts to identify and execute the test plans and test cases
• Coordinates with on and offshore team members to ensure the requirements and testing is modelled according to business rules and required practices
• Co-ordinates UAT and Production testing and validation for releases
• Is responsible to track and log defects during execution
• Proactively seeks opportunities to improve existing reports and tools to provide an enhanced end user experience

Experience

• 6-8 years’ experience in business analysis, requirement gathering and end to end project management of various applications
• Have a good understanding of the Hedge Funds domain
• Have a good understanding of the Software development lifecycle
• Have experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Good to have – Exposure to one or more of the following, macro development, Crystal Reports, Good to have – Strong Database concepts, previous experience as a database developer for financial domain, Strong Database concepts, previous experience as a database developer for financial domain

Personal Skills

• Understanding of finance and financial markets
• Understanding of software development principles, basic understanding
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building.
• Ability to use MS Office applications, collaboration tools
• Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and priorities
